Tales of the Cocktail 2015: Alexandre Gabriel talks about Plantation Rum

Alexandre Gabriel, owner of the Plantation Rum brand talks a bit about rum. Alexandre discusses the needs to create a rum with flavor, not a “skeleton rum” that’s been over-filtered just to meet law restrictions and he deconstructs the three elements of Plantation 3-Star and explains why he picked the islands for his blend.

Alexandre also discusses a soon to be released Pineapple Rum that was challenged by David Wondrich as a product that needed to be on the market and finishes with a bit about the future of rum and learning from our past.
