Brown-Forman And Teeling Make Moves As Irish Whiskey Explosion Underway

Not waiting around for the market to soften, both Brown-Forman and Teeling have made moves involving actual and potential Irish whiskey distilleries in Ireland. Brown-Forman – whose bourbon/whiskey brands include Jack Daniel’s and Woodford Reserve – have formally purchased Slane Castle Whiskey Limited with the intent of opening a distillery near Dublin. Meanwhile, Teeling has beaten them to it and already opened their Dublin distillery in the Liberties District this week.

Brown-Forman’s distillery – which will be located approximately 30 miles north of Dublin – is scheduled to open in late 2016.
